Villa Barcelona  takes inspiration from the Barcelona Pavilion designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich, for the International Exposition in Spain. Accentuated by a passion for minimalist architecture which invites the outdoors in, and elevates the home from its fundamental form, to something more connected to its surrounds. Welcoming an oasis of three courtyards across the home, into the living experience, dining and family rooms, the home will inspire next level rest and relaxation while on stay.

Villa Barcelona takes its cues from the love of the mid-century design, a form of build which inspires a true connection with its surrounds, welcoming the courtyard oasis into every room, and from every angle. With its high ceilings the home feels as though it is nested in the garden surrounds, and a sense of calm transcends through the open plan layout.

The sitting room found on the sunrise aspect enjoys a double courtyard aspect and is accentuated with a vaulted ceiling which mimics the waves from nearby Manly Beach. The ambiance is this room is equally romantic, and peaceful. Focused on tranquillity the goal of this part of the house is to ensure that guests feel connected to the outdoors, but are equally as separate and detached from any activity in the kitchen and TV room.

Through the second courtyard guests will be transported through the home like the breeze travels through the corridors. As the dining room reveals itself, the architectural galley kitchen comes into sight and acts like a connection between the dining room and the lounge room. The kitchen is filled with natural light and well equipped for mealtime. The planked benchtop is the ideal servery for wine time, and breakfast delights alike.

The TV room spills effortlessly onto the rear courtyard and allows guests to float in and out according to the movement of the sun, and the heart’s desire. Outside, the feeling is peacefully accented by the surrounding frangipanis, agapanthus and Japanese bamboo which sways with the arrival of sea breeze of an afternoon. By way of accommodation, the first floor is dedicated to the master bedroom and guest bedroom. With the guest bedroom located on the northern aspect of the home, this part of the home is bathed in natural light and enjoys a leafy outlook and private terrace for morning coffee, of evening wine alike. Across the hall, the master bedroom suite is luxuriously appointed and offers a truly 5-star experience to guests. With its elevated position the bedroom feels dreamy, and with the adjoining resort-like ensuite, from the bath to the walk-in shower, this part of the home feel opulent and decadently finished, leaving a lasting memory during your stay.
